RI Livable Homes Modification Grant Amended Regulations: Effective October 22nd, 2019
PLEASE NOTE: The RI Livable Homes Modification Grant Regulations require that approved projects, where the applicant is in possession of a signed award letter from the RIGCD, are paid for in full either by or on behalf of the approved applicant prior to reimbursement being issued. Reimbursement will not be issued for partially paid or unpaid projects. For questions about this requirement, please contact Barbara Palazzo at Barbara.Palazzo@gcd.ri.gov.
PLEASE NOTE: The RI Livable Homes Modification Grant Amended Regulations will go into effect on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019. All completed applications postmarked October 22nd or later will be evaluated under the amended regulations. The new application will also go into effect on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019.
Any incomplete applications will be evaluated under the regulations in effect when their application was considered complete.
Example: Susan submits her application packet on Friday, October 18th. Her application is missing before photos, a necessary component. She drops off the remaining portion of her application on Tuesday, October 22nd, and her application packet is marked complete that day. Since her application was completed on October 22nd, the application will be evaluated under the amended regulations.
PLEASE NOTE: All completed RI Livable Homes Modification Grant applications are reviewed on a weekly basis. Applications are reviewed on Mondays, and award/denial packets are mailed on Wednesdays. Completed applications must be received by no later than Wednesday of the prior week in order to be reviewed the following Monday.
Example: Susan submits her application packet on Wednesday, February 17th, but her application is missing before photos, a necessary component. She submits before photos that Friday afternoon, and her application is marked complete that day. Her application missed the deadline for review on Monday, February 22nd, so will be in the applications reviewed the following week, on Monday, March 1st.
